The story behind your coach
Kalle is your coach. I'm Sven – the human who built him. I wanted a coach that reads my morning HRV, knows I got four hours of sleep and a 6 a.m. flight, and adjusts without making me feel guilty about it. So I built one.

The problem I had
I'm a 39-year-old dad of two with a demanding job in tech and a stubborn ambition to keep getting fitter into my 40s.
Real coaching is brilliant and expensive. Generic plans ignore how you slept and what life threw at you this week. Tracking apps hand you data without telling you what to actually do tomorrow. I wanted something that closed the gap between the numbers and the decision.
So I built one. Kalle is the coach I wished I had.
I coached myself through most of this – reading sports-science papers at night and testing them on my own legs. Kalle is everything I learned, minus the trial and error.
From road to trail
I rode Vätternrundan twice, then a broken wrist somehow rerouted me onto the trails. Six months later I ran my first 100 km. Six months and two surgeries after that, my first 100-miler at the Mt Fuji 100. The same self-coaching that got me there is what Kalle now does for you – without the years of guesswork.
The method
Every session has a reason: which system it targets, and why today, given your numbers. Kalle leads with what went well, celebrates good judgement, and treats a bad day as the next opportunity – never a failure.
Skipping a session because life happened is often the smart call. A low heart rate at high effort is fitness, not slacking – and Kalle knows the difference.
The science can be deep, but your daily decision shouldn't be. Kalle reasons in zones and gives you one clear thing to do today, with the why attached.
A partner, kids, a job, a calendar that fights back – good coaching fits around all of it. You can become a proper “elite amateur” without quitting your day job.
Under the hood
Kalle pulls your training and health data, prescribes your daily workout, logs what you planned versus what you actually did, and gets smarter about you over time.
A coach with a memory. A coach who's always there for you.
Someone who keeps it simple and keeps it kind. That's Kalle. Let's get to work.
